Without syllables she enters the day muttering. Nothing like nothing redolent with promise but a same wound striking over and against the practice of her weight.
There is more to an alphabet than meets the mirror. What appears to be a letter. Sticks in her throat. Who looks out their window watches roots grow dark? Who takes the first rejection and all morning breathes it out & in. Ripping up rugs and punching the dust until it flies.
